Mentor

This student is available daily to help direct technical thinking and decisions. The mentor is a graduate student with experience in the area and can provide guidance but is an advisor not a doer. The mentor gets tasks from the team leaders and makes contracts for 497R students. The mentor grades student work and recommends grades to faculty members. 

Tasks:

The team mentor is a paid (10 hr / week) graduate student who has worked with the team for several years and has institutional knowledge of the team competition and activities.

The mentor arranges and works with student on their MeEn 497R technical elective courses. Defining objectives and deliverables and grading performance.

The team mentor answers and ask questions but does not take on an engineering project and is not managing the assignments of tasks.

Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering Graduate students who have experience on the team

Objective:

Learn technical management skill.
